The NCISA is the main national contact centre for the research and development of cybersecurity and the protection of classified information. The agency also participates in creating informational and analytical materials for the security community and in the coordination of research activities including the identification of research needs, problems, and priorities in the field of CIS security.
The NCISA cooperates with academic institutions as well as with private sector. This includes cooperation on national and international research projects and on the development and implementation of security technologies used by state and public institutions.
Most of the NCISA’s research, development, or innovative projects take the form of public contracts and are executed by contractors. The NCISA supports research projects in form of application and expertise.
Regarding international cooperation, the NCISA supports the creation of international syndicates. In light of its own capacities, the agency participates in international projects whose research outcomes can improve Czech cybersecurity.
